DOn't get me wrong, I love to take in the natural beauty of my surroundings while geocaching, but I also am always pushing for numbers when I just need to relax and enjoy. The numbers will come with time.Crazy Cacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14955650808573643850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7119836512888641857.post-56392717684456867952008-10-13T17:53:00.000-07:002008-10-13T17:53:00.000-07:00I have become like that lately myself. I was explaining to my friend my new approach, which I describe as "opportunistic geocaching" - just choosing a few finds that serve the purpose of showing me the area. Sure I might go on a power run sometime in the future, but it is more about geocaching being a way to enjoy an area better.cosmiccowgirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09392673002818633402noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7119836512888641857.post-57711464506104542132008-10-09T09:24:00.000-07:002008-10-09T09:24:00.000-07:00Good style to have. If I am going a good haul, I like to still score a bunch, but I'm not afraid to pull off and really absorb one place, take photos etc (we did that Wednesday, actually).

Good post.

A 'lil HooHaaP.J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/15815590239221574310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7119836512888641857.post-51879389431074689702008-10-05T16:59:00.000-07:002008-10-05T16:59:00.000-07:00Looks like you had a great time! I was telling a friend of mine who is a pre school teacher about Flat Oprah and geocaching this weekend and I think she's going to try it with her class!

Happy wandering!

The Writer...and her dog, BearThe Writerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15194353072191909820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7119836512888641857.post-48445582682858847242008-10-05T08:49:00.000-07:002008-10-05T08:49:00.000-07:00That's a good attitude to have. There's too much ...That's a good attitude to have. There's too much good time to be spent caching to waste your time on a bunch of skirt lifting micros.

I was at Cabrillo in late June caching and you might have missed a couple of the other virtuals there if you only got one of them. But hey, that gives you an excuse to go back.

I've been involved with geocaching long enough that I can remember when there was a physical cache hidden in Disneyland. I went to find it and couldn't. Figured out after the fact by reading the logs from that cache that some other geocacher was in the park that same day and had the cache in hand at the time and couldn't put it back because they thought I was a muggle and would see them replacing the cache. I never found that one and later it was removed by park employees.

If you are going to Disneyland, there are several good virtuals in the park and in Downtown Disney that will have you exploring the entire area. Lots of fun.Paul Myershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02159194518854240946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7119836512888641857.post-85674900435264064862008-10-05T03:50:00.000-07:002008-10-05T03:50:00.000-07:00Great post!
